> Design Kit CD-ROM Version 16.00
The EUROPRACTICE Software Service at RAL has compiled the latest
design kits onto CD-ROM version 16.00. The CD-ROM has been
dispatched to full Academic and Research Laboratory EUROPRACTICE
members on 16 November 2005.
CD-ROM version 16.00 contains 50 design kits, 36 of which are
new or updated kits since the last realease. The kits enable the
design of Integrated Circuits using software packages and
technologies supported by EUROPRACTICE. Due to the number and size
of the design kits, the design kits are released on a 5-CD-ROM set.
The CD-ROM also contains documentation for many of the supported
technologies in pdf format.
All the design kits and technology documentation are encrypted
and require decryption keys. The EUROPRACTICE IC Manufacturing
Service at IMEC will generate a licence file for technologies for
which Non Disclosure Agreements have been signed. AMI Semiconductor
design kits are now licensed under new Design Kit License
Agreements (DKLA), therefore on CD-ROM v16.00 all AMI Semiconductor
design kits have been encrypted with new keys. The email and web

Workstation design kits can be decrypted on Sun (Solaris 9), HP
(HPUX-11) and Linux (RedHat 7.2, Enterprise 3.0) machines.
PC design kits can be decrypted on machines running Windows 2000
or Windows XP. Windows decryption requires a dongle in addition to
the licence file. Dongles are available free of charge on request
from the EUROPRACTICE Software Service at RAL.
Note. The EUROPRACTICE Software
Service at RAL has released a version of AustriaMicroSystems Hit
Kit 3.71 for the Cadence 2005. This release includes the new
simulation models, Assura rules, AMS designer support, and
corrections to IOLIB_ANA_HV_* libraries recently released by
austriamicrosystems. The release has been encrypted with the same
key as the original v3.70 design kit and so your existing
decryption license file from IMEC will still be valid. This design
kit is a replacement for the H35 processes only. For other
processes please continue to use the v3.70 release.
To use this version of the HIT KIT you may require to update
your runtime FLEXLM license file. A replacement license file can be
requested from austriamicrosystems web site. You must have an
username and password information to use this facility.
